Welcome to our newest athletes! We have had several new athletes start training in January, all playing a huge variety of sports. Blake Skidmore, My Linh Li, Emma Ballou, Max Lauer, Lizzie VanDeusen, Reece Yakubov, Harrison Morosky, Destini Ewing, and Philip Hawthorne play sports including tennis, lacrosse, field hockey, baseball, soccer, swimming, basketball, football, hockey, and softball. Coming from different schools such as Grandview, Upper Arlington, Wellington, and Grove City, we are excited to train everyone to help them excel in their upcoming seasons! We look forward to seeing you at your next training session!
Congrats to Sam Orazen for retesting and moving up to our Sports Performance training level! Sam, a baseball player at UA, has been training hard with us for almost 2 months and has some really impressive retest results. Let's take a look:
- Vertical leap increased by over 4 inches
- Leg power/elasticity increased shown by his average vertical height increasing by over 3 inches during a 4 consecutive jump test
- Increased core power
- Shuttle run time decreased by over 0.4 seconds
- Flexibility drastically increased as seen by his deep overhead squat
Great job Sam! Keep up the good work. It will definitely pay off in your upcoming baseball season.
